I always used to play this with my friend, and I think we had a good strategy. The highest level I think we got to was around level 28/29? Funnily enough however, the highest level I have ever reached was actually on my own, and was level 30 Hilarious!

Yeah, I was kinda lucky really. I had the Barracuda and the upgraded PPSH. Those 2 guns, along with all the perks, you are pretty much unstoppable until you run out of ammo :/

Ammo in that game is what makes me lose all the time. Im just sitting there waiting for the Max Ammo and it just does not come.

I know Sadface A technique I used was to leave a few crawlers and keep using the teleporter until I either A) ran out of points to teleport ,B ) got my max ammo Big Grin or C) Got killed by the dogs which sometimes come from the teleporter.

One bad thing about using the teleporters is they can bring in dogs after a while.
