What. The. Fuck.

Apparently, one shot through the wood in Wasteland (in the tunnel thing) and one above will kill someone with an M93 raffica, yet it takes 25 rounds with an RPD stopping power. Honestly, what the fuck.

Then there's the good ol' fucking getting killed by a spas when it's not even pointed at you. Fuck.

But I know what you're saying. Sometimes I will be shooting someone for ages though something I they just won't die at all even though I keep getting hit markers, other times I can do it with ease. As for people killing you with the SPAS, what can you expect, it's a shotgun, the bullets spread out from the gun so it would probably be like this IRL, maybe?

The Raffica seems to be really over powered... When it can out snipe the FAMAS most of the time... And sadly the RPD is an amazing weapon and for fucks sake the thing fires these

at 650 r/min... I mean HOLY SHIT!!!

And the Raffica does fire at 1100 r/min but it's on select fire 3 shot in the game and even then it still fires these fucking puny things

Now don't get me wrong... The 9mm round is a great stopping round but as far as going through objects/walls it's worthless as it tends to deform on contact and lose almost 90% of it's momentum... While the 7.62 the RPD fires is a longer more accurate bullet and almost always jacketed so it's penetration value should be insane compared to the Raffica... Come on IW... Did you do any research?

Agreed... And with current safety systems (vests and protection) you could probably take in the order of 2-3 bullets almost completely center mass before going down completely... Before that the first 1-2 shots would be a definite disorientation and possibly knockdown. The 2nd would be a definite knockdown if the shot was consecutive. Unless you are winged that would be the max for a standard round 5mm and larger. The 5.62 Nato Round tends to punch through weak armor but will simply push you down otherwise so more than 3 bullets is possible but not likely due to the traditional jacketed nature. I thought ARMA was a great game but the fun factor is just missing even though the realism is there. The control scheme is the only thing that destroys it. So take that game and match it with this control scheme and large scale battles. Amazing Win.

I guess they wanted to make it as fun as possible, and having it too real would take away a lot of the fun. You wouldn't be able to no scope with a barret for a start, you wouldn't be able to run very fast or far if you had 2 large gun and many other things. They had to get a compromise and obviously it cant please everyone. If you're looking for a bit more realism you can always play hardcore.

just fyi but 9mm rounds have great bullet penetrating capabilities, not as much as the rpd of course but i could see the m93 doing that. the just decreased the rpd because it would be too gay for mw2 Lol

You would be correct except that the m93 raffica uses a soft round (for personnel stopping power) which consists of an all lead slug instead of a jacketed round. So you get massive deformation and decreased hard surface penetration. Besides that being said... It is one hell of a fucking gun... Check it out here
